Beaver Toad Software (BTS) is a two-person independent game development team, Eli Burke (programming) and Zack Wood (graphics). They have been friends ever since Zack was born and spent literally uncountable hours playing video games.

Eli received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Georgia in 2006 and has since worked as a freelance programmer (and baker at a local bakery). In the course of his contract work, Eli has been the sole developer of over a dozen iOS titles and a handful of Android apps.

Zack wrote his senior thesis about Japanese and American role-playing games, and, after graduating, he lived, worked, and studied in Japan for about four years. He spent his final year as a research student at Kyoto Seika University, where he studied manga (Japanese comics) with Shuho Itahashi and game design with "Chibi-Robo!" director Kenichi Nishi. His work in video games and comics is a natural culmination of his life-long interest in illustration and story-telling.
